A website still needs attention after launch. A short monthly review of key functions and operational health can identify small issues before they become incidents.

Monthly checks

  • 01Review security and dependency updates.
  • 02Confirm recent backups completed and can be restored.
  • 03Test enquiry, booking and registration forms manually.
  • 04Check for broken links and missing images.
  • 05Review key-page speed and server resource usage.
  • 06Look for major changes in search traffic and conversions.

Keep a simple maintenance record

Record the review date, issue and resolution. This makes repeated problems easier to identify. When several people are involved, also note the owner and next review date.

Small regular checks cost less time and money than large emergency fixes.
